An Indian producer, screenwriter and director, born in Bangalore, India. She later moved to Mumbai. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in economics, she turned to the world of cinema. She began her career as an assistant director in the film Lagaan directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and worked with him again in the movie Swades. She's known for Lost Ladies (2023) and Secret Superstar (2017).
