A Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer, who began his career in the 1960s and was influenced by rock, reggae, and western pop. He began playing guitar at an early age. He formed several bands, including Buffalo Springfield, and after the band's breakup, he formed Crazy...Read more Horse, releasing his album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere in 1969. He also co-founded Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and released several albums over the years, including Harvest (1972), which included his hit single "Heart of Gold," Rust Never Sleeps (1979), and Freedom (1989). In addition to his musical career, Young has been involved in the film industry, directing several documentaries about music. He also founded an educational foundation for children with disabilities and has received numerous awards and honors, including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
