An Indian actor, born in Narasapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. He made his debut in Pranam Kareedu (1978). During the first decade of his career, he appeared in more than a hundred films. Among his credits are Subhalekha, Khaidi, and Jwala. He is considered one of the few actors who received the Padma Bhushan award in recognition of his career.
