An American actor, born on April 7, 1917 in Alabama. He began his career, which spanned 47 years, in 1954. He studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His films include Major Dundee (1965), El Dorado (1966), Children of the Corn (1984), Predator (1987), and Dick Tracy (1990). He died on July 27, 2012.
