An American actress of Cuban origin, born in Guantanamo, Cuba. When she was five years old, she moved from Cuba to Miami, Florida, and after that she moved with her family to Puerto Rico, where she grew up. She graduated from Tulane University, with a bachelor's degree in theater. She was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical. Among her credits are The Place Beyond the Pines (2012), Evita (1996), and The Angriest Man in Brooklyn (2014).
