An American writer, born on August 2, 1924, New York City. He was known more for his articles than for his novels and plays. His early works showed his talents, and he was known as a pioneer of sexual freedom. He is famous for working in I Am Not Your Negro (2016), and If Beale Street Could Talk (2018). He died on December 1, 1987.
