An American novelist, born in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School in 1938, and later studied at Case Western Reserve University. Among his literary works is the novel "The Beguiled", which was adapted into the 1971 film starring Clint...Read more Eastwood, as well as the 2017 film, directed by Sofia Coppola. He died of a heart attack on June 11, 1995.
