An American comic book writer, music critic, and journalist of Polish origins, born in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1957, then enrolled at Case Western Reserve University. After his service in the army, he was appointed as a records clerk at...Read more the Veterans Administration Hospital. He held this position and continued it after becoming a writer. He's known for the autobiographical comic series American Splendor, which was adapted into the 2003 film of the same name. He died on July 12, 2010 in Ohio, USA.
