A Bangladeshi film actor who was raised in Dhaka. He studied at Pogose School and started his acting career with the Lalkuthi theater group. His film career began with the 1973 movie Jolchobi. He appeared in more than 400 films. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo (1982) as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
