A Bangladeshi film actor born on August 18, 1940 and was raised in Dhaka. He studied at Pogose School and started his acting career with Lal Kothi theater group. His film career began with the 1973 movie Jolchobi, starring in more than 400 films. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo (1982) as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
