Austrian author and actress, born in Vienna, Austria. She was the daughter of the musician Josef Berger. She made her debut on stage at the age of four and, in 1957 studied at the Max Reinhardt Seminar School in Vienna, Austria. She began her professional career in 1958, and participated in many diverse works, including To Commit a Murder (1967), Les étrangers (1969), Welcome to Germany (2016), and If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium (1969).
