He was a general in the Egyptian army. He composed many songs in the fifties and sixties for Abdel Aziz Mahmoud, Hoda Sultan, Mohamed Abdel Muttalib and others. He wrote the songs for the movie Taxi of Love. He died on December 23, 1999.
