An American actor and casting director, born in Glen Cove, New York, United States. He was the son of a New York policeman, and the older brother of actor Guy Remsen. He began his acting career through summer theater performances for ten years. His credits include McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971), Baby Blue Marine (1976), and Places in the Heart (1984). He died on April 22, 1999.
