A British screenwriter, born on August 18, 1952 in Devon. His career began in 1982. He worked as a writer, director, and star at the TV series The Comic Strip Presents.. He went on to co-write 25 of their films alongside Peter Richardson. He is best known for The Comic Strip Presents ... (1982), and The Pope Must Die (1991). He died on August 6, 2018 in Devon, England.
