An American film director and producer, born in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He studied at Great Neck North High School in New York, and obtained a BA in Film and Theater Arts from Sarah Lawrence College. He has directed, written and produced dozens of motion picture films, television films and Broadway plays. Among his credits are Black, Swan, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Up Close & Personal.
