An American actress, born on July 10, 1921, in South Windham, Maine. She studied at Yale School of Drama, then moved to Los Angeles in 1942. She participated in many productions, including the movies My Sister Eileen (1942), In a Lonely Place (1950), Sweet Smell of Success (1957), My Man Godfrey (1957), and Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970). She died on April 11, 1988 in Hollywood, California.
