An American actor, born in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. He studied at McDonough School and moved with his family to a farm in Portland, Maine, where he later studied at Thornton Academy. He began his career singing in orchestras and made his Broadway debut in the musical Take the Air (1927). Among his credits are Secret Agent X-9 (1937) and All Quiet on the Western Front (1930). He died on December 1, 1993.
