He began his career in animation at the Raoul Barré cartoon studio in 1916, then joined the Fleischer Studio in 1922, where he developed the character of Koko the Clown. He then moved to Hollywood and worked as an animator...Read more and director for the Charles Mintz Studio, and then moved to the Disney Studio. Among his credits are Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, and Fantasia. He died on November 30, 1979.
