An American film director and producer, born on July 7, 1899, in New York, USA. David O. Selznick, RKO's Head of Production, appointed him to direct several major RKO films, including What Price Hollywood? (1932) and A Bill of Divorcement (1932). Cukor is also known for directing The Philadelphia Story (1940), Adam's Rib (1949), and My Fair Lady (1964). He died on January 24, 1983, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
