An American actress, born in Detroit, Michigan, on January 26, 1925. Joan Leslie began her career at the age of two when she appeared on stage with her older sisters Mary and Betty Brodel performing at vaudeville theater. In 1950, she married Dr. William G. Caldwell, and in the following year, she gave birth to her twin daughters, after which she left the cinema and focused her activities on television until the end of the eighties to devote herself to taking care of her daughters. Joan Leslie received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for her television work. Among her most notable works are Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942), The Sky's the Limit (1943), Rhapsody in Blue (1945) and Cinderella Jones (1946). She passed away in Los Angeles, California, on October 12, 2015.
