German-American actor and comedian born on 30 March 1889 in Frankfurt, Germany to opera singer Max Bing. His brothers are actors Gus Bing and Rudolf Bing. He began his career at 16 at the circus and vaudeville theater. He served as line producer for several films in Germany before going to the United States. His works include The Great Waltz (1938) and Redheads on Parade (1935). He married once and had one child. He committed suicide by self-inflicted gunshot on 9 January 1947 in Hollywood, California, US.
