She was considered one of the greatest theater actresses. She was a leading star on Broadway during the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. She had great television activity, and one of her greatest roles was Lady Macbeth, which she performed in the 1920s. Judith began her film activity with a supporting role in the movie Blood Money in 1933. She was honored in Britain in 1960 for her services to the performing arts. Judith continued her television and film activity until the age of 87 and died on January 3, 1992, in Santa Barbara, California, USA, from severe pneumonia.
