An American actor, born in Salisbury, North Carolina, on July 13, 1895. He died in New York City, on October 6, 1973, of cancer. Sidney Blackmer was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for his film work. His most notable work includes The Count of Monte Cristo (1934), High Society (1956), and Rosemary's Baby (1968).
