An American actress, born in Redding Ridge, Connecticut, on November 28, 1933. Hope Lange won an Emmy Award in 1969 and 1970. Among her most notable work: The Ghost & Mrs. Muir (1968-1970), The New Dick Van Show (1971), The Death Wish (1974), and Blue Velvet (1986). She died in Santa Monica, California, on December 19, 2003.
