An American singer, actress, and model, born on April 6, 1928, in Salt Lake City. She began her artistic career in 1942, appearing in the 1950 movie All About Eve, then Touch of Evil (1958). She died on August 7, 1972, in Santa Monica, California, at the age of 44, due to breast cancer. She received several awards, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
