An American actress, born on September 28, 1913 in New York City. She began acting on stage, making her debut in a short play in 1932. In 1933, she began her film career in a small role in the short film Seasoned Greetings. Her first feature film was Millionaire Playboy (1940), which was followed by many others, including It's a Great Feeling (1949), Born Yesterday (1950), Death of a Salesman (1951), and Witness to Murder (1954). She died on December 11, 1979, in Northridge, California.
