American actor born in Eastman, Georgia, US on 13 August 1895. He made his film debut on Fearless Fagan (1952). His most notable works include The Big Heat (1953) and The Twilight Zone (1959). His final appearance was on The Slime People (1963). He married Marguerite Garrett and she remained with him until his death on 29 September 1962, in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California.
