An American actor, writer, singer, and radio and television broadcaster, born on August 31, 1903, in Manhattan. He dropped out after a year at Hasbrouck Heights High School and served in the United States Navy from 1920 to 1924. He passed a qualifying exam and joined the Radio Materiel School. He is known for The Glass Bottom Boat (1966), Where Angels Go Trouble Follows! (1968), and The Great Bank Hoax (1977). He died on March 16, 1983, due to emphysema.
