An American actor, born in Chicago, Illinois, USA, as Jack Carlton Moore. He is best known for playing the Western character the Lone Ranger. He won the Golden Boot Award in 1998 and 1983, and he recieved a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1987 for his television activity. He was married four times and had one child. During World War II, he served in the army in the First Motion Picture Unit making training films, and after the war he returned to supporting roles, focusing on Western films. In 1982, he was inducted into the Stuntman's Hall of Fame. His credits include G-Men Never Forget (1948) and The Lone Ranger (1949-1957). He died of a heart attack in West Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on December 28, 1999.
