English actress, born on July 7, 1928 in Kensington, London. She was the only daughter of the director Alfred Hitchcock and Alma Reville. She has had small roles in several of his films since 1950. The family moved to Los Angeles, in 1939. After graduating from Marymount High School in Los Angeles in 1947, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She also appeared in the London Theatre. She was known for her participation in small roles in three of her father's films: Stage Fright (1950), Strangers on a Train (1951) and Psycho (1960).
