An American actor, born on August 21, 1908, in Durango, Colorado, United States. He served in the US Navy and was a private pilot. He worked as a reporter for the Denver Post newspaper. Also, he had experience on radio and on stage. His film debut was in Northern Pursuit (1943), and he is better known for Destination Tokyo (1943), The Caine Mutiny (1954), Coogan's Bluff (1968), and Intrigue (1947). He died on April 27, 1982, in Newport Beach, California, USA, of cancer.
