An American actor, born in San Francisco, California, USA on July 29, 1921. He graduated from Saint Ignatius College Predatory in San Francisco. In 1938, he won a public speaking competition, which helped him think about acting. He also studied at the University of San Francisco and obtained his bachelor's degree, after which he obtained a master's degree in theater history from Stanford University.His first appearance was as a police detective in the movie The Story of Molly X, and he is better known for his roles in Gog (1954), Love Me Tender( 1956), The 300 Spartans (1962), and Pollyanna (1960). He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on July 20, 1987, of prostate cancer.
