An American professional wrestler and actor born on January 19, 1941 in Montreal, Canada. He is the first Intercontinental Champion and creator of the WWE's Royal Rumble match. Patterson began his career in 1958 in his hometown of Montreal before moving to St. Francisco. Patterson appeared in Knots Landing, an American prime time television soap opera. Patterson died of liver failure at a Miami, Florida, on December 2, 2020.
