British screenwriter and playwright born in Hitchin, Hertfordshire on July 4, 1908. She was originally a theater actress.She participated in entertainment for the armed forces in World War II and gave up acting in 1945 to focus on writing. She is best known for the scripts for the Sapphire film and the play Murder Mistaken. She died in Beaconsfield on May 30, 1993.
