Stella Stevens was born on October 1, 1938 in Yazoo City, Mississippi, USA. Stella Stevens won a Golden Globe Award in 1960 for Most Promising Newcomer - Female, and was nominated for a Golden Laurel Award in 1962. Stevens attended Memphis Evening School at Memphis Tech High School. She is best known for her roles in The Poseidon Adventure (1972), The Nutty Professor (1963), The Silencers (1966), and Say One for Me (1959).
