An American actress and dancer, born in New York City, on October 20, 1933. Barrie Chase made her film debut in Scaramouche (1952), in which she appeared as a dancer, and then continued to appear in films as a dancer and also an actress, and she also participated in television series, and worked at MGM as a dance coach in many films. In the 1960s, she participated with dancer Fred Astaire in presenting television shows. In 1968, Barrie Chase made the decision to devote herself to her husband and their young son. Her most notable work includes Cape Fear (1962), It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), and The Flight of the Phoenix (1965).
