British actor born Herbert Morse on 10 June 1918 in London, England. He studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and began his career in theater. He then began working in the British Television when it first broadcast in the early 1930s, and then moved to Canada in the early 1950s where he worked in TV and radio. He was famous in North America for playing Lt. Philip Gerard on the TV series The Fugitive (1963). Other notable works of his include Folio (1955-59), Space: 1999 (1975-76), and The Winds of War (1983). He was married once and had 3 children. He died on 2 February 2008 in London, England.
