An Iranian writer and director, born in the Iranian city of Tehran. Since his youth, he has been interested in visual arts and storytelling, especially through drawings. He graduated from the SAE Institute Dubai. He worked with many well-known Iranian directors as well as directors outside Iran before directing his own films. He made his feature directorial debut with Apricot Groves (2016), which was screened in international festivals and was the most successful co-production of Iranian cinema. He is the owner of the Three Gardens Film, which has produced many successful films that have been selected in prestigious film festivals around the world such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin, and Toronto. His other work includes After the Incident (2020).
