An American writer and director, born in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He studied at Cornell University in 1937 and worked as a writer for the radio program The Pepsodent Show presented by Bob Hope. He was one of Hope's writers, a job he held for five years. Among his writings for the cinema are the films The Princess and the Pirate (1944), Where There's Life (1947), and Sorrowful Jones (1949).
