He is an Iraqi writer, producer, and director. He was born in Baghdad in 1979. He studied cinema at the Baghdad College of Fine Arts and the Collège Agnès Varda. He is a documentary film director, and he also worked as an assistant director and photographer. He is known for directing Sabyea (2017), Dance with a Bullet (2021), and Nenad (2020).
