An Egyptian-Austrian filmmaker. He studied economics and political science in Cairo, and joined the High Cinema Institute. He worked on short documentaries, including: The Road to Atalia (2010), Martyr Friday (2011), and Things I Heard on Wednesdays (2012). He is best-known for his film Yomeddine (2018), which was screened at many festivals around the world. He also co-founded the production company Desert Highway Pictures, with his wife Dina Emam in 2014.
