A young Iraqi director who studied film industry at the Iraqi Center for Independent Film in 2009 and participated in film workshops inside and outside Baghdad, during which he studied scriptwriting, directing, editing, and production management. Jaafar has made short documentaries, Raising a Flag, and The Alienation of the Gypsies, while The Band is his first feature-length documentaries.
