An Austrian-American actress, born in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. After the end of World War II, she moved to the United States. She began acting in 1929 while she was a student at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. Her most important works include So gefällst Du mir (1941), Wie ein Dieb in der Nacht (1945), The Diary of Anne Frank (1959), and Am Abend nach der Oper (1945). She died on July 12, 1993, in New York, United States.
