Françoise was born...Read more into a theatrical family as her father was the actor Maurice Dorléac and her mother was the actress Renée Simonot. She appeared for the first time on stage at the age of 10, and when she was 15, she appeared on the cinema screen in short films. She studied at the Institute of Dramatic Arts in Paris for two years and worked as a model for Christian Dior before her professional film work. She made several films before achieving stardom in 1964 through That Man From Rio and The Soft Skin. She died on June 26, 1967, in Nice, France, following a tragic road accident.
