A British actress, born on 27 July, 1959 in Glasgow, Scotland. She went to Park School for Girls in Glasgow's West End. She received an honorary doctorate from St. Andrew's University. She made her acting debut in 1982. Her most notable works include: Captives (1994), Look Back in Anger (1989), Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016), and The Party's Just Beginning (2018).
