An American actress who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 25, 1890. She is known for The Man in Possession (1931), and Oklahoma! (1955). Charlotte's father left the family when she was very young. She began her artistic career by dancing in Vaudeville, and then became famous for how tall her legs were. Despite Charlotte's dream of becoming a distinguished dramatic actress, she became a distinguished comedian and began a series of theatrical performances. In 1961, she worked on television for the first time, after which she retired. Charlotte Greenwood died on December 28, 1978 in Los Angeles, California.
