A British actress of Irish descent, born Viola Frankham Roach in Norfolk, UK. She attended an Ursuline convent school in England. Her notable works include Suspense (1949-1951), Harriet Craig (1950), and Goodbye, My Fancy (1951). She married Lionel Bevans in 1910 and they had one child, actress Philippa Bevans. She died of a heart attack on 17 May 1961 in Hollywood, California, US.
