An American actress who was born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 2, 1943. Laurie Peters is best known for her roles in For Love of Ivy (1968), Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation (1962), and Circle of Fear (1972). Peters is a performance actress who has worked more in theater than film and had some television roles. She was nominated for a Tony Award for Broadway in 1960 as Best Supporting Actress for a Musical. She has been named for her vocals in the movie Summer Holiday as Grazina Frame. Peters founded the Meisner Extension for the undergraduate level in cooperation with Sanford Meisner, the most famous teacher of acting, and was appointed by New York University to teach drama to university students for 5 years.
