He is an English actor, born on May 5, 1967, in Newcastle, England, UK. He went to Oundle School and received a degree in modern British history from Bristol University. He was an advertising executive before pursuing a professional career in acting in the 1980s. He is known for Coronation Street (2003-2007), Robin Hood (2009), and Emmerdale Farm (2013-2017).
