• A Tunisian actor, born in Akouda, in the coastal governorate of Sousse. He began his artistic career in 1964, performing with the Tunisian Radio Company. His career spanned over 40...Read more years, during which he played numerous and diverse roles in radio, television, and film. He was particularly known for his memorable performances in Abdelaziz Laroui's Tales and several other television series, such as The Sand Path. He also appeared in various Italian and French films shot in Tunisia. Chahed was a hero of the Tunisian War of Independence, which took place in July 1961 between the Tunisian army and the French forces occupying Bizerte. He also volunteered, along with other Tunisians, to participate in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. He passed away on May 2, 2024, and was buried in his hometown of Akouda.
