She is an Indian actress, born on September 13, 1973, in Darjeeling, India. She started acting at the age of 24. She is known for Pardes (1997), Dhadkan (2000), and Dark Chocolate (2016). Among her numerous awards and nominations, she received a Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress for her role in Pardes (1997).
